About
I am a ceramicist currently working in central London.
After completing a Foundation Course at Oxford Brookes, I studied Fine Art at Kingston School of Art from 2016 to 2019. In my final year at university I sat for the first time at a potter’s wheel. I have been hooked ever since.
Following graduation, I built myself a simple garden studio in East Sussex, where I taught myself to throw and fire ceramics. Since the beginning of 2024 I have become a member of Standpoint Studios based in the Old Street area of London. Here, I work alongside other artists including ceramicist Nicola Tassie, whom I assist part-time.
Most of my work is hand thrown on a potter’s wheel, creating one-off and repeated forms that reflect my appreciation of simple, ergonomic design. Features like comfort and practicality are of fundamental importance; the way a mug feels in your hands means as much to me as how it looks.
The various glazes I use all share a natural and subdued palette, and I’m particularly interested in matte surfaces and crackle glazes. The subtle alchemy and huge diversity within ceramics present endless possibilities, and I enjoy in constantly developing new recipes and ideas that produce my ever evolving body of work.
All of the photos featured on my instagram and website are my own.
As well as making my own ceramics, I also take commissions. Do get in touch if you have any questions about my work, and if you'd like to stay updated on my practice and catalogue, please follow me on Instagram or sign up to my newsletter.
